la.my boobs and shoulders are sunburned. one would think such occurances would convince me to resonsider my vehiment loathing of sunscreen and actually wear it when spending large amounts of time out in the sun.but it won't.i got a new project in my lab.rather, i got assigned a new person to work under and her project is really interesting. basically, we take the membrane proteins that comprise PSII out of the plant and put them in solution. Then, we paint this solution onto thin thin pieces of mylar plastic, let it dry and take spectra of it and such. The data that we gather will hopefully give us more insight into how PSII works.i'm stoked about this becasue, apart from being vital and interesting reseasrch, it means that i will get to spend the summer in the cold room preparing samples.grr. i have so much to get done.-call around about my car and see about getting it fixed. (this is a two part endevor as the check engine light is on AND someone who was breaking into cars in my apartment complex jimmied my lock loose. then, the lock got stolen/lost. so, i need to get that fixed. ironic, no? anybody have any suggestions as to where to get a newish VW beetle serviced?)-clean my apartment.-write a paper about identity. that should be easy enough. I have two good ideas. i'm most likly going to talk about how physical appearance creates certain preconcieved notions. about the person.-get my hair chopped off. it is beginning to annoy me. hrm...this sounds like WAY more then it actually is.i WILL get it all done.

So, yesterday i had a blonde moment of monumental proportions.I was walking to the bus stop to go home from physics (physics does NOT need to be discussed after 7, but that might be just me). I'm realizing it's approaching the end of the quarter. Classes. I haven't registered for them yet. Shit! My pass time (when i can acess the registration system) was at 1pm on the 23rd of May. It's now after 9. Crap. Minor detail: Yesterday, it was after 9 on the 22ed.oops.So, now that it's after 1pm on the 23rd, i have registered for my classes. As of right now, I'm taking a Quantum Mechanics, Instrumental Analysis, and the Literature of Science Fiction. Later I'm going to register for Natural Products. Seeing as it's basically more ochem, i feel safe in waiting for that. Besides, the sci fi class sounds BAD ASS.Now, off to do research on something I'm told does not exist in literature.I love you all.

no...really, I should be writing my paper right now.but, I just got hit by a character idea and wanted to jot it down in this semi-public forum to get some feedback.system= vampireclan= Toreador, unfortunatlyname= Dee.aparent age=mid twentiestotal neonatebrief bio/desc= trained as a psychotherapist (wow...is that a really old fashoned term...?) Dee was embraced by her teacher. Understanding and reading people is an artful science and is painfully aware of the beauty and subtlety of human interaction. Her favorite branch of psychology is dream analysis but she also loves to watch people. She's no total slouch in battle, she did karate or something of that sort to keep in shape before she was embraced, but that is not the focus of her character. Strategy is more interesting to her, but she is so new, that she has very little experience. Very quiet, she likes to observe people and try to understand what is going on inside their heads.
